Advanced Credentialing Training for Diplomate.
2025 – 2026
Dr. Virgil Mongalo and Dr. Anas Jebrini have developed a series of four modules that will allow doctors with advanced surgical and prosthetic levels to be trained in preparation for the ABOI Board Certification which is the highest credential in Oral Implantology awarded by an American Implant Academy.
ABOI EXAMS
1) Must apply for WRITTEN EXAM – before December 1, 2024.
* Present proof of 670 CE hours in implant dentistry
* The 6-day LIT didactic exam preparation will take place January 12-17, 2025 in Orlando Florida and will prepare you for the written exam.
***Specialists trained USA/Canada are exempt of this exam
***AAID fellows are exempt of this exam
2) Test takes place April 2025
If you pass then you can
3) Pay fees for oral exam before December 1,2025 and submit cases before January 15, 2026.
4) Submit 8 required clinical cases fully documented
5) The 12-day LIT live surgical and prosthetic will result in 6 fully documented clinical cases.

Live Implant Training MODULES
MODULE #1
Live surgical session on patients.
August 17-22, 2025 – Valparaiso, Mexico
Attending doctors will travel to LIT-Valparaiso Institute where each doctor will operate on 6 of the 8 clinical cases required to apply for the ABOI oral examination.
These 6 live cases will include:
1) Lateral window with implant placement
2) Extraction and immediate placement
3) Over-denture surgery
4) Fixed Hybrid surgery
5) Multiple posterior
6) Anterior case
Dr. Virgil Mongalo will hire a professional dental photographer that will create digital folders combining pre-op and post-op extraoral-intraoral-surgical-prosthetic photographs and X-rays.
This 6 cases will be restored and fully documented during the June 14-19, 2026 live patient prosthetic session.
MODULE #2
Preparation for oral and written exams.
January 15-19, 2026 – Orlando. Florida
In this 5-day lecture training course we will prepare you for the oral and written ABOI exams through a series of scientific lectures and mock-boards.
MODULE #3
Live prosthetic session on patients
June 14-19, 2026 – Valparaiso, Mexico
Attending doctor are returning to LIT-Valparaiso and restore the 6 cases operated during module 1.
A professional dental photographer will be in charge of documenting the following:
1) Full face photograph; frontal and profile views.
2) Maximum Intercuspation Position; retracted frontal, left and right views with final restoration.
3) Intraoral occlusal maxillary and mandíbular of final prosthesis.
4) All cases will receive final periapical, panorex or CBCT X-rays.
These 6 fully documented cases plus 2 cases recorded by the attending doctor on his/her private practice will be used to submit cases for the oral examination.
MODULE #4
Case preparation, application for the oral exam.
November 2-4, 2026 – Orlando. Florida
Oral and written mock board sessions will be hosted by Dr. Joseph Leonetti, Dr. Anas Jebrini, Dr. Jae W. Chang and Dr. Eduardo Rodríguez.
Dr. Virgil Mongalo will reviews clinical cases with all doctors submitting cases for the oral exam.
This 3-day didactic session will be hosted in Orlando, Florida.
TUITION
Tuition $48,000
• 250 CE hours in implant dentistry. 20 days geared to prepare doctors to apply for ABOI oral and written exam.
• 12 days of live training, divided as 6 live surgical days on patients and 6 live prosthetic days on patients.
• 6 fully documented cases (surgeries and prosthetics) following outline required by the ABOI.
• 6 days of test preparation hosted in Orlando divided into 2 sessions of 3-days each.
This covers professional photography, oral exam, written exam and case presentations.
• 14 nights of hotel accommodations for live patient sessions. Includes breakfast and lunches and Ground transportation (airport-hotel-institute) during live patient sessions.
• Dr.Mongalo’s hardcover textbook “Prosthetically driven, surgical Implantology”.
*** Orlando Sessions do not include: airfare, dinners, and hotel accommodations
DOCUMENTED CLINICAL CASES
Cases to operate and restore during Dr. Mongalo’s advanced credentialing training:
1) Overdenture (mandible or maxilla) full arch surgery and final prosthesis either RP-4 or RP-5
2) Hybrid full arch fixed bridge (maxilla or mandible) full arch surgery and final prosthesis for either FP-2 or FP-3.
3) Lateral sinus elevation, placement of 2+ implants and final restorations.
4) Implant(s) in the aesthetic zone and final restorations either crown(s) or partially bridge
5) Extraction(s) with immediate implant placement in posterior zone (mandibular or maxillary) with bone grafting and final restorations.
6) 2+ Implants in posterior zone.
